I agree whole heartedly, I too am a born again Christian, or as I'd like to say, a folower of Christ! I too believe that the fundamental pillars of Christ's teachings are being ignored by the church while pushing this propaganda for prop 8... It's really too bad because like you said so many other more important issues fall into the shadows in the church's agenda to "protect the sanctity of marriage." Being a Christian means standing up for God and your beliefs, but pushing ideas onto others forcing them to give up rights, isn't my idea of 'Christ-like.' It seems like its so hard to find other Christians with my view point but I'm happy to know they're out there.. Just last Sunday our preacher enlightened the congregation about his nausea for homosexuals... I just don't understand how we are supposed to love one another if disdain for certain 'groups,' including muslims and gays, is preached from the pulpit. Ultimately, preachers and religion will always fall sort of the glory of God, everyone and anything does, therefore I stick close to God in this battle. You can't lose by following Christ's peaceful and loving walk... ultimately it's all about Him who gave His life so that we sinners (and we are ALL sinners!) might be saved.

What an intelligent, elegant response to those pseudo-Christians against Prop 8! Allow me to share my own opinion in favor of gay marriage by linking my essay here:
Gay Marriage By Any Other Name -or- Letter to the Pharisees
I'm an anonymous former San Franciscan currently in the burbs of Philly who appreciates your message. One of my neighbors was a Korean minister working on his Ph D who recently moved to Walnut Creek to take a position at a Korean Presbyterian church so his parents could know their grandchildren before slipping away to transcendance.
Soolsang's gentle nature would appreciate your message, as do I.
